Itinerary
Day 1 - 'Christmas Eve'
Departing this morning from your allocated departure point, we travel north making comfort breaks en route to Gretna Green where you can experience the world famous Black Smith’s shop where the English ran away to get married. Today, not only is it one of Scotland's most famous wedding venues, it is also a 5* award-winning visitor attraction offering everything from an historic museum, to famous brand shopping and an award-winning food hall.
Arriving at the hotel and having checked in a 3-course dinner is included before enjoying a nightcap in the bar whilst enjoying the live musical entertainment.

Day 2 – ‘Christmas Day’
Enjoy a traditional Scottish breakfast including a taste of Haggis. Today begins with a visit to Falkirk where you will visit the famous Kelpies, the largest equine sculptures in the world. From here we continue on to the historic town of Stirling home to many heroes and legends. This ancient old town is home to some of Scotland’s most epic events and the captivating stage for some of the nation’s most romantic, most courageous and most memorable figures. Whilst here you may choose to visit the glorious Stirling Castle with its Royal Palace – the fabled walls steeped in plotting and intrigue – as well as the Chapel Royal and Regimental Museum. From its rocky eyrie, this imposing fortress rewards your stroll up Stirling town’s cobbled main street with spectacular views over beautiful Stirlingshire countryside. There may be an opportunity to visit the multi-award-winning Battle of Bannockburn Experience and witness the battle like never before with fully immersive 3D scenes bringing the battle to life. Interact with medieval warriors, pages, archers and knights on either side of the conflict as they reveal how they became involved in the battle. (Entrances today all payable locally).
For private group tours Glasgow is an alternative to Stirling which will be applicable to the whole group.
Returning to the hotel, tonight’s meal is based on a traditional Christmas dinner followed by in-house entertainment.

Day 3 – ‘New Year’s Eve’
Enjoy a traditional Scottish breakfast before departing for today’s full day excursion to Edinburgh. Here we begin with an included visit to the Royal Yacht Britannia. For over 44 years the Royal Yacht served the Royal Family, travelling more than a million nautical miles to become one of the most famous ships in the world. To Her Majesty, Britannia provided the perfect Royal residence for glittering state visits, official receptions, Royal honeymoons and relaxing family holidays. For Great Britain she was a majestic symbol of the Commonwealth and a proud ambassador generating billions of pounds in trade deals. Following this visit there will be free time to explore the city centre and what Edinburgh has to offer including the largest Christmas market in Scotland or you may choose to take a stroll along The Royal Mile or visit the famous Castle. Returning to the hotel, this evening includes a fantastic Hogmanay dinner followed by musical entertainment.

Day 4 – ‘New Year’s Day’
Enjoy a leisurely traditional Scottish breakfast before travelling to nearby Loch Lomond where we begin with an included cruise. This one hour circular tour of Loch Lomond's South basin enjoys views of the magnificent Ben Lomond and passes a number of Loch Lomond's stately homes and castles along the shoreline. Venture out towards Inchmurrin Island, the largest of Loch Lomond's 33 islands and home to the ancient remains of Lennox Castle, which in the 14th-century sheltered a fugitive Robert the Bruce before he became King of Scotland.
Your next visit is indoors. Loch Lomond Shores is home to a mix of department stores, boutique shops and a variety of cafes and restaurants. Here you will be able to purchase lunch after which there will be some free time for a little retail therapy before returning to the hotel, where mulled wine and mince pies await. This evening includes a New Year’s style evening meal followed by entertainment from the hotel’s solo artist.

Day 5 - Haste Ye Back
Following your final Scottish Breakfast we bid farewell to the Loch Long as we retrace our steps homeward.
