Sample Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Budapest - You will be met on arrival by your local guide who will escort you by private coach to your hotel where having checked in and freshened up, your 3 course evening meal is included tonight.

Day 2 - Budapest & the Danube - You begin with an included guided city sightseeing tour by coach and on foot of Budapest including entrance to the Fisherman's Bastion & the Matthias Church. You will then be transferred by coach to the river front where you will board a river cruiser, where lunch is included on board during a cruise of the River Danube. This evening enjoy an included dinner at the Restaurant Kaltenberg with its micro-brewery.

Day 3 - Visegrad, Szentendre & the Marzipan Museum - You travel to the former Renaissance capital of Visegrad to enjoy a magnificent view of the Danube Bend and the Borzsony Mountains. Travel back in time with a visit to the 14th century Visegrad Upper Castle. You then move on to visit a traditional village on the outskirts of Budapest.Szentendre is a picturesque Mediterranean style village situated on the river Danube. You will also visit the fascinating Marzipan museum. Tonight’s dinner is at Restaurant Karpatia.

Day 4 - Today is free for you to spend at your leisure in Budapest. Budapest is one of Europe's most delightful and enjoyable cities. There are 2 main sides to the Hungarian capital, Pest and Buda. In Pest, you will find Parliament, the Opera House, and Heroes’ Square. In Buda you may decide to climb Gellert Hill for a panorama view from the Citadel. This evening you will be served a typical Hungarian dinner with Traditional Folklore Show.

Day 5 - Domonyvolgy & Godollo Royal Palace - You journey to Domonyvolgy, home ofthe Lazar Horse Park. You are welcomed with fresh Hungarian savoury scones - pogacsa, a fruit brandy – palinka - or mineral water. You will be served a typical Hungarian lunch in the stable’s restaurant as well as enjoying a spectacular horse show which brings to life the traditions of the Hungarian horsemanship. You then visit the stunning Gödöllő Royal Palace which isthe largest baroque palace in Hungary and the second largest in the world after Versailles.
