Sample Itinerary

Day 1 - Departing London St Pancras by Eurostar to Brussels. Here you join a continental service via Cologne to Lower Saxony in Germany, where a coach will then transfer you to your hotel.

Day 2 - The Harz Mountains & Goslar - This Imperial historic city is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A guided walking tour will show you some of the many half timbered buildings which span over four centuries from the 1500’s. Following this informative tour you will have free time to continue exploring at your leisure when you might like to visit the magnificent Imperial Palace which dates to the 11th century.

Day 3 - Hanover and the famous Baroque Gardens of Herrenhausen by rail.
These superb gardens were created principally by Princess Sofia of Hanover and are divided into several different areas. These include the Great Garden and the George Garden, named after King George III who bought the garden in 1817, when he was King of Hanover. The British Royal Family have been associated with the gardens and the region for many years. During World War II Herrenhausen Palace was bombed and raised to the ground. Following a long and painstaking restoration process, the rebuilding of the Palace is almost complete, whilst the gardens retain their glory.

Day 4 - Hamelin is best known for the Pied Piper and a guided walking tour with this famous character will fill you in on much of the history of this city, where decorative rats of all shapes and sizes can be found on many a street corner. A cruise on the river Wesser is a relaxing way to enjoy your surroundings.
Free time in Celle to explore this historic town, with its impressive castle and an Old Town which boasts over 400 half-timbered houses.

Day 5 - Returning by coach to Hanover for your rail journey to Cologne and onwards to Brussels , returning by Eurostar to London.
