Sample Itinerary

Day 1 - Arriving in Munich you will be met by our local representative for the journey to your hotel.

Day 2 - The Alps & Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Bus, mountain train & cable car tour to Germany's highest peak Zugspitze (2600m). Lunch at the Restaurant Sonn Alpin.  Afternoon stroll through Garmisch - Partenkirchen, typical Bavarian town with handcraft studios, shops & restaurants.

Day 3 - Neuschwanstein & the Romantic Road - Tour to Schwangau to visit the romantic castle of Neuschwanstein. Continue to Fussen, the southern end of the Romantic Road, time for a stroll around the medieval centre. Follow the Romantic Road along the Forggensee and the German Alpine Road through magnificent landscape. Dinner & beer in a typical Bavarian Mountain Chalet.

Day 4 - Innsbruck & Mittenwald - Full day in Innsbruck, capital of the Tyrol. Drive through beautiful landscape. Guided city tour to include the Maria Theresien Strasse, Hofburg, Wilten Basilic a beautiful Rococco Church and the famous Goldenes Dachl. Return journey via Mittenwald - Germany's highest climatic health resort and famous for its 300 year old tradition of violin making.

Day 5 - Garmisch & Oberammergau - Morning at leisure in Garmisch. Afternoon excursion to Oberammergau, known for its famous passion play and visit to the King Ludwig castle 'Linderhof' in Ettal. Bavarian folklore evening in Partenkirchen with Bavarian music & show.

Day 6 - Munich - Full day excursion to Munich, the capital of Bavaria, with guided tour. Return to Garmisch along the route of Lake Starnberg.

Day 7 - Return to the UK.
