Sample Itinerary:
Day 1 – Beginning our journey north to Scotland, comfort breaks will be made as we make our way to the hotel on the outskirts of Dunfermline, where dinner is included.

Day 2Breakfast included. Today begins in Falkirk for an up-close look at the world's largest equine sculptures - the Kelpies - two 30m high horse head sculptures, a true feat of engineering. Included is a guided visit inside the structures, the only way to see the inner workings and design. A short drive away is the Falkirk Wheel where lunch can be purchased in the visitor centre from where you will be able to see the famous Falkirk Wheel the world’s only rotating boat lift, which is quite simply unique!
This afternoon we visit the Royal Burgh of Culross which has Scotland's most complete example of a burgh of the 17th and 18th centuries. White-harled houses with red-tiled roofs line the steep cobbled streets with the highlight being the ochre-coloured palace with its beautifully reconstructed period garden. Get a sense of what it would have been like to live in Culross Palace (NTS) in its prime, with original painted woodwork and beautifully restored interiors. It is little wonder that Culross is acknowledged as one of the most picturesque villages in Scotland or that it is so often used as a film and television location. Returning to the hotel dinner is included.

Day 3 –Breakfast included.
Today is dedicated to *Edinburgh, where there is the opportunity of a pre-bookable optional visit to The Royal Yacht Britannia including an audio guided tour. Permanently moored in Edinburgh's historic port of Leith, the Britannia was once home to the world's most famous family. The afternoon is at your leisure to explore the city centre & Royal Mile or the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (usually the same dates as the Tattoo), which can be seen at venues throughout the city, in addition to a variety of street performers. Dinner is at leisure before this evening’s highlight, an evening performance of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, one of the world's most spectacular shows. This brings together a glittering cast of performers from across the world and showcases a breathtaking array of military and civilian performances, set against the iconic backdrop of Edinburgh Castle. It will be a late return to the hotel.

Day 4 – Breakfast included.
Following a leisurely breakfast, we begin today with an included visit to Scone Palace which has an exciting and colourful history as one of Scotland's most important stately homes. 1500 years ago this was the capital of the Picts and in the intervening centuries, it has been the seat of parliaments and the crowning place of the Kings of Scots, including Macbeth and Robert the Bruce. During this free flow visit you will see an outstanding collection of antiques, paintings and rare artefacts and the grounds are renowned throughout the world.
We travel next to Perth, where there will be free time to purchase lunch before an included guided tour of The Black Watch Castle and Museum. Accompanied by a museum guide you will be immersed in the fascinating history of Scotland's premier Highland Regiment. Highlights include personal stories within the Museum collection providing a local and international context for the history of The Black Watch. Returning to the hotel, dinner is included.

Day 5 – Checking out of the hotel after breakfast, we retrace our steps homewards, making comfort stop(s) along the way, returning to your original departure point(s) this evening.
