Day 1 - Arriving in Malta you will be met by a local representative and transferred to the hotel. Dinner included.
Day 2 - With your local guide we visit Valletta by way of a guided tour, during which you will see an array of Baroque buildings, palaces and churches in this the capital city of Malta, built by the Knights of St John. We will visit the Upper Barracca Gardens from where there isa panoramic view of the Grand Harbour.
Visits including entrance costs are: The beautiful St John’s Cathedral, home to the famous Caravaggio painting ‘The Beheading of St John’ and the Grand Master’s Palace, home to the Parliament and the offices of the President of Malta. Following some free time for lunch we will visit the Malta Experience, a 45 minutes multi vision show that outlines 7000 years of Maltese History. Dinner included tonight.
Day 3 - Accompanied by our guide we will visit Hagar Qim, a prehistoric temple overlooking the islet of Filfia the most southerly point of the Maltese Archipelago. We will the travel to the departure point of the Blue Grotto boats.
Back on dry land we continue on to the picturesque fishing village of Marsaxlokk with its colourful ‘Luzzus’, traditional Maltese fishing boats for free time and lunch.
Next we visit the Limestone Heritage Park and Gardens – a celebration of Malta’s vibrant history and its unique stone resource! Located in the traditional Maltese village of Siggiewi, this award winning attraction allows you to immerse yourself in the islands’ eclectic 22,000,000 year past. Dinner included tonight.
Day 4 - Today is a free day. Breakfast and Dinner are included at the hotel.
Day 5 - Accompanied by your guide today we travel to Cirkewwa for a 25 minute ferry crossing to the Island of Gozo where you will join a local coach. This is the legendary abode of the beautiful nymph Calypso, daughter of Atlas. Visit the Ggantija Temples one of the most important archaeological sites in Malta, which is older than Stonehenge and the Great Pyramids. You will also visit the fishing village of Xlendi, the Inland Sea and then the Citadel and Cathedral in Gozo’s capital Victoria. Returning to the mainland you will re-join your tour coach for the return transfer to the hotel, where your evening meal is included.
Day 6 - Transfer by coach to Sliema for a 90 minute included Harbour Cruise around the ports of Masrsamxetto & the Grand Harbour of Valetta. Afternoon at leisure + dinner at the hotel.
Day 7 - Depart for UK.
