Sample Itinerary

Day 1 - You are met by our representative in Prague and check in at your hotel.

Day 2 - Prague - See the highlights of the city and visit the stunning Castle, the St Nicolas Church on Leissuer Town square and the Strahov Monastery.The famous citadel of Prague Castle dominates the skyline of this fascinating city, looking down on medieval cobbled streets, ornate Baroque facades found near the Old Square and the restored elegance in the tranquil streets, squares and arcaded buildings of the Lesser Town. Spanning the Vltava River is the pretty 14th century Charles Bridge, always a hive of activity with pedestrians and where you will see street entertainers, buskers and artists.

Day 3 - Konopiste Castle - Atrip to the stunning Konopiste Castle. Originally built in the 13th century, it was based on a French style chateau. Today it is still connected with its last nobleman owner, Franz Ferdinand d’Este. During your guided tour you will discover a variety of rooms and treasures including Franz’s private chambers. There is also a large collection of arms and hunting trophies on show. Lunch is included today before we return to Prague this afternoon, where you will have some free time and can purchase dinner locally before an evening performance of the Prague Proms.

Day 4 - Karlovy Vary and Becherovka Distillery - This isthe most famous spa town of the Czech Republic. The city was founded in the 14th century by Charles IV and according to legend, the Emperor had the city built soon after the accidental discovery of thermal springs by his hunting entourage. The spa facilities enjoyed the favour of many aristocratic houses and rich burghers, as early as the 16th century. Whilst here, we will visit a local distillery producing a popular herbal liqueur called Becherovka We will visit the Jan Becher Museum for a tour of the distillery and original cellars and of course taste the centuries old drink from where it is made.

Day 5 - Kutna Hora - A guided walk through the town including the St Barbara Cathedral, the Italian Court and the Sedlec Cistercian Monastery.

Day 6 - Prague - A day at your leisure to explore the city.

Day 7 - Return to the UK.
