Day 3 – Today we travel to the picturesque south western region of Slovenia. Some people say that if you have seen one cave system you have seen them all. This is not the case with the Postojna caves which are some of the largest in the world. This underground world was created naturally by the River Pivka and the stalactites and stalagmites make this cave system one of the most beautiful. An electric train takes you into the caves and then a guide will walk you through the most interesting and accessible areas.
Afterwardswe will visit the nearby Lipica Stud Farm which is the original home of the Lipizzaner white horses.

Day 4 – Today is either at your leisure or you may choose to join our optional & pre-bookable full day excursion is to the picturesque Adriatic coast.
Travelling by coach to Portoroz you will join an included 45 minute cruise to the medieval town of Piran, during which a glass of white wine or a soft drink is included.
You will have approximately 2 hours to explore Piran which has a well preserved medieval layout, with many narrow streets and compact houses.

Day 5 – Accompanied by your guide we will visit the city of Ljubljana which is large enough to have everything that other capitals have butat the same time it is smallenough to show warmth and hospitality to its visitors. During your city tour you will see the remains of the Roman city of Emona, as well as the baroque old town with its narrow cobbled streets. This area is squeezed between the castle slopes and the River Ljubljanica and there are also many art nouveau mansions to be seen. This excursion includes a funicular journey to the Castle of Ljubljana which is one of the main symbols of the country. The afternoon will be at your leisure to explore the city at your own pace.

Day 6 – This morning will be at your leisure in Bled before departing home.
