Sample Itinerary

Day 1 - Arriving on the continent, we journey through Belgium to Dutch Limburg & Valkenburg.

Day 2 - Maastricht is one of the oldest cities in Holland, as you will quickly discover during your walking tour through the historic inner city. Churches, city walls, monumental merchant houses and large squares merge seamlessly with a comprehensive and varied range of shop. Valkenburg's Christmas Markets are quite unique as they are held in caves in the town centre. These are considered as the largest and oldest underground Christmas Markets in Europe. You will be surprised by the lovely setting and decor with numerous stands offering Christmas gifts and other luxuries.

Day 3 - Monschau nestles in a valley amongst the Eifel Hills near Aachen & is one of Europe's best kept secrets. Located just a few kilometres over the Belgian border, Monschau offers visitors a wealth of things to see and do, quaint shops, romantic old streets, half-timbered buildings, a wonderful selection of restaurants & cafes, a historic mustard mill, various museums and the old friary. The Monschau Christmas Market is small but beautiful and in 1999 it received an award for being one of the most beautiful Christmas Markets in western Germany. Aachen - Every year before Christmas the squares and streets round the Cathedral and the Town Hall are transformed into a paradise of lights and colours, festive sounds and seductive smells. The glorious fair in the Christmas City, erected with great care and sentiment, fascinates both the young and the old.

Day 4 - Brussels - To celebrate the Christmas the city of Brussels hosts a Winter Wonderland. Along a quite literally immerses spectators in the heart of Christmas magic. Set against the backdrop of the ‘most beautiful theatre in the world’ it features a magnificent sound and light show which lights up the skies of the dark winter days. Belgium’s largest Christmas market is made up of 240 chalets located around the Bourse Stock Exchange and the Marché aux Poissons. Belgian artisans and those from abroad offer their specialities, original gifts and tasteful decorations. Once back in the UK, our will be returned to your original departure points.
